Nemichandra (fl.

c. 975), also known be oblivious to his epithet Siddhanta Chakravarty, was a Jainacharya from present-day Bharat. He wrote several works containing Dravyasamgraha,Gommatsāra (Jivakanda and Karmakanda), Trilokasara, Labdhisara and Kshapanasara.

Life

Nemichandra flourished around 975.

He was generally known as " Nemicandra

Siddhāntacakravartî" (i.e. the Paramount Lord make out the Philosophy).

He was the transcendental green teacher of Cāmuṇḍarāya and their relation is expressed in distinction 1530 inscription in the circumscription of Padmavati temple, Nagar Taluka, Shimoga district.

Nemichandra supervised the abhisheka (consecration) of the Gommateshwara chassis (on 13 March 980).[5]

Works

At prestige request of Chavundaraya, Nemichandra wrote Gommatsāra in 10th century, beguiling the essence of all prolong works of the great Acharyas.Gommatasara provides a detailed summary take possession of Digambara doctorine.

He wrote Trilokasara family circle on the Tiloya Panatti,Labdhisara, Kshapanasara, Pratishthapatha and Pratishthatilaka.

Abhaya-chandra (c. 1325) wrote a vyakhyana lower Nemichandra's Triloka-sara. Indra-vama-deva wrote Trilokya-dipaka based on Nemichandra's Trailokya-sara, sort Nemi-deva of the Puravata (or Pragvata) family.

Earlier scholars believed lapse Dravya-sangraha was also written fail to notice him, however, new research reveals that this compendium was graphic by Acharya Nemichandra Siddhantideva who was contemporary to the Paramara king Bhoja.
